Bullis Senior School Maryland donates books to the Yak Jones Foundation

Senior students of the Bullis High School
In early 2017 Adbul Khanu of Bullis Senior High School, Maryland, started a community project to encourage students to contribute towards improving education and literacy in Sierra Leone by donating textbooks to the Yak Jones Foundation.
Parents of students were also encouraged to donate funds for shipping.  The donation included 6 boxes containing 259 books and 21 magazines.  According to Dr Yakama Jones, CEO of the Yak Jones Foundation, the books will be donated to a safe space libray in Freetown and 24 schools; 2 in every district of Sierra Leone.

If you wish to make a donation of new or gently used books to the Yak Jones Foundation, please drop them off at the Madam Wokie store in Freetown or contact the Foundation by clicking HERE.
